The Soprema Sopraseal Stick VP is a self-adhered, vapour-permeable air barrier membrane designed to control air leakage while allowing trapped moisture to escape. This advanced, breathable membrane provides long-term durability, excellent adhesion, and flexible installation across a variety of wall systems — making it ideal for both new construction and retrofit projects.

• Vapour-permeable — allows walls to “breathe” while maintaining air and water tightness

• Self-adhered membrane eliminates mechanical fasteners

• Excellent adhesion to most substrates (gypsum, concrete, wood, metal)

• UV-resistant for up to 6 months before cladding installation

• SBS-modified bitumen backing with breathable film facer

• Cold-applied, no primer required on most clean surfaces

• Meets ASTM E2357 air leakage and ASTM E2178 vapour permeability standards

Recommended Applications:

• Above-grade exterior walls behind cladding systems

• Window and door rough openings

• Transitions between dissimilar materials

• Ideal for projects requiring energy-efficient, breathable envelope systems

Installation Guidelines:

• Apply to clean, dry substrates; remove release liner as membrane is applied

• Overlap seams by at least 2" (50 mm)

• Roll with firm pressure to ensure full contact and bond

• Can be installed in temperatures as low as -10°C (14°F)

• Seal edges and penetrations with compatible mastics or sealants
